Chinn Appointed to Kansas African-American Affairs Commission

Latoria Chinn, Kansas Speedway's manager of compliance marketing and communications was appointed by Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to the Kansas African-American Affairs Commission (KAAAC). The KAAAC serves as a conduit for legislation, policy and research to address concerns of the African-American community in the state of Kansas.

"Torrie has been an asset to Kansas Speedway with her involvement in the community," said Kansas Speedway President Jeff Boerger. "Her appointment to the commission shows the impact she has made over the last eight years managing our compliance efforts."

Chinn was named the 2007 Black Achiever in Business and Industry by the Kansas City chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Black Achiever Society.

The Kansas African-American Affairs Commission is a seven-member body with members appointed by the Governor, the President of the Senate, the Senate Minority Leader, the Speaker of the House and the House Minority Leader.
